The Site of Changxindian Workers’ Club is located at No. 174 Changxindian Street, Fengtai District, with a floor area of 205 square meters. During the Republican period, this site was Liujia Iron Shop. In October 1921, the Changxindian Railway Workers’ Union was reorganized as the Changxindian Workers’ Club, and moved to this location. The first preparatory meeting of the Beijing-Hankou Railway General Union was held here in April 1922. In August 1922, there was the Changxindian Railway Workers’ Strike and in February 1923, the Changxindian workers participated in the Beijing-Hankou Railway Workers’ Great Strike. The club was the command for the strike struggle led by the Communist Party of China.
