Beijing Public Transport Hall is located in the west of Beijing Public Transport Dispatch and Command Center, No. 29 Lihuanchi Xili, Fengtai District, Beijing. It is a display hall about Beijing’s urban public transport industry and has been open to the public for trial operation starting from December 1, 2023.
Building Layout
The Beijing Public Transport Museum has an exhibition area of 5,000 square meters, a collection of over 6,000 items, 16 main vehicles, and 30 interactive zones (as of February 2023).
Exhibits
The Beijing Public Transport Museum has over 6,000 items in its collection, including 16 main bus models. The Beijing Public Transport Museum is a display hall that showcases the glorious journey of a century-old public transport enterprise growing and progressing together with the times and the city. It is also a “mobile museum of culture and history” that belongs to people, featuring sound, images, objects, and stories. What’s more, the museum follows the CPC forever and inherits the red revolutionary root. The museum follows the main thread of Beijing’s urban transportation development, presenting five different periods, using people, cars, lines, tickets, stations, and events to display eight thematic sections, showing a panoramic view of the century-old journey of the Beijing’s public transportation.
