The Site of Changxindian Workers’ School is located at No.1 east ancestral hall hutong, Zhongduan Road, Changxindian street, Fengtai district, with a floor area of 172 square meters. After the early Communist organization in Beijing was established in 1920, Deng Zhongxia and others set up the Changxindian Workers’ School to promote workers’ movements. The teachers at the school were mainly dispatched by the early Communist organization in Beijing. The school started by raising the cultural level of workers and then conducted Marxist propaganda to inspire the consciousness of the working class and train worker leaders, becoming a crucial base for the combination between the early Marxism and the Chinese workers’ movement for the Communist Party of China. Under the influence of the Changxindian Workers’ School, early Communist Party organizations in various places started to establish worker-oriented evening schools. After the Changxindian Railway Workers’ Union was established on May 1, 1921, the place became its office.
